What does "Simchat Torah" Mean?

"Simchat Torah" is the name of a holiday that concludes Sukot. It when the 54 parashot (Torah readings) are concluded, and we begin again with Genesis. For years, Jews have had a "read the Bible in a year" program. Each week, synagogues all over the world read from the same Torah portion.

During the holiday of Simchat Torah, the Torah scroll(s) are processed, and men have the opportunity to rejoice with the Torah, and dance with the scroll.
